nicole is a writer, poet, & multi-faceted artist.

By day, (& often night) she makes and sells pottery in her home studio, which she built herself shortly after moving to California.

Her creative work is inspired by her connection to and exploration of nature, as well as her artistic processes. Her poetry has been published in several journals, including Novus Literary Arts Journal, The Santa Clara Review, and Wild Roof Journal, and her creative nonfiction has appeared in miniskirt magazine, Novus Literary Arts Journal, and others.

She has been a ceramic artist for seven years, and specializes in functional, wheel-thrown pottery that employs a variety of surface decoration techniques including sgraffito and Mishima. She is also a photographer with focuses in travel, landscape, and portrait photography. She especially loves capturing special moments and milestones of couples and other creative individuals.

When she isn’t writing or wheel-throwing, Nicole is likely at the beach, on a trail, or exploring new landscapes with her dog, Lyla. She derives most of the inspiration for her creative work from her interactions with the environment around her, and is always looking for the next adventure.
